13 illegal Bangla immigrants sentenced to RI

Nagpur, Nov 11: A local court here has sentenced 13 Bangladeshi citizens, including three women, to six months of rigorous imprisonment (RI) for staying in the country illegally.

Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) H L Manwar convicted the 13 Bangladeshis under the Foreigners' Act for entering the country without a valid passport or visa. The accused convicts 13 were arrested from different localities in the city late in September during a drive against illegal immigrants.

They were identified as Mohammed Imran Alia (25), Jolilo Mundelo Isopali (60), Mohammed Alamgir Mohammed Afzal Sheikh (28), Mohammed Rafiq Alla Mohammed Fotok Kazi (30), Mohammed Faruq Noor Ameen Khan (18), Mohammed Dawood Mohammed Danmiya Khan (18), Darun Miya Adiali Mirza (40), Murummat Noorjehan Sheikh (20), Mubarak Imamali Vyapari (35), Sairabanu Mubarak Ali Vyapari (30), Hafiza Ali Miya (40), Razia Haroon Mirza (25) and Mohammed Shakeel Mundelo (40).

The court has also imposed a fine of Rs 200 on each of them, and another five days of RI if they failed to pay the fine.
