Saina storms into World Junior badminton final

New Delhi, Nov 10 (UNI) Saina Nehwal overcame a tough challenge from Bae Youn Joo to beat the Korean 25-23, 21-13 and storm into girls' singles final of the World Junior Badminton Championship at Incheon, South Korea today.

Seeded 14th in the tournament, World No. 32 Saina took 35 minutes to see off the Korean's resistance and set up a title clash with top seed Wang Yihan of China tomorrow, according to information received here.

Yihan defeated another Korean Kim Moon 21-16, 21-13 in the other semi-final.

The 16-year-old Indian was tested to the limit by the Korean in the first game, but once 1-0 up and after 13-all in the second game Saina won eight points on a trot to send her rival packing.

Yihan is ranked 103 in the world, but has won her first international title -- IBF World Cup -- this year beating world No two and fellow Chienese Xie Xingfang.
