Revenue staff arrested for accepting bribe in Bihar
Patna, Nov 10 (UNI) Vigilance sleuths today arrested revenue employee-cum-secretary of Barasar Panchayat, when he was accepting Rs 10,000 as bribe at his official residence in Saharsa.
Bhuwaneshwar Ram was allegedly taking the bribe for appointing the person's wife as primary school teacher.
Additional Director General(ADG) of state Vigilance Bureau Neelmani said here that one Vinod Kumar had informed the bureau about the demand of cash by Ram.
Following the tip off, a team was constituted under the leadership of Deputy Superintendent of Police Ram Naresh Singh to nab the revenue employee, he added.
Ram was caught red handed by the sleuths when he was receiving Rs 10,000 from Vinod Kumar, he informed.
The arrested staff was being brought here for interrogation, said the ADG.
