Puri-Bhubaneswar four lane road notification issued

Puri, Nov 10 (UNI) The Ministry of Shipping, Road Transport and Highways has issued a notification for four lane of the 59 km Puri-Bhubaneswar National Highway number 203.

The state government had appointed Mr Gouranga Charan Prusty as the special land acquisition officer, while the Union government had appointed retired Indian administrative Service officer Ratnakar Das as consultant for the project.

The national highway authority had requested the District Magistrate to start the land acquisition as early as possible.

The land from 79 villages spreading over three tahasils Pipili, Satyabadi and Puri Sadar would be acquired soon for the project.

The Union government had already placed fund for the purpose, Puri Additional District Magistrate P K Pani said.

The four lane project would help boost the tourism and allied industry in the state.
