One constable dies in naxal attack

Dantewara, Nov 10 (UNI) A police constable died today, while another was injured in a landmine explosion triggered by naxals near Darbhaguda at Jagdalpur-Hyderabad road in Chhattisgarh's Dantewara district, police said.

Superintendent of Police O P Pal said a police team was patrolling on foot when the ultras triggered the blast at around 1100 hours.

Chhattisgarh Special Police Force constable Vishram Manjhi was killed on the spot, while constable Abdul Sagir was injured and was admitted to hospital.

Naxals took away a rifle, mortar and five bombs from the spot.
