National Scrabble Championship begins tomorrow

New Delhi, Nov 10 (UNI) Vocabulary and analytical skills will be put on test as more than a thousand students participate in the National School Scrabble Championship beginning tomorrow at the zonal level.

The zonal events will be held in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata and Pune followed by the finals in Mumbai on November 22.

About 250 children from 50 schools are expected to take part in the Delhi zonal round this weekend.

Ten winners from each zonal final will appear in the national finals.

Organised by the Scrabble Association of India, the event will give its winner a free trip of Malaysia along with parents.

Fifty-six years old, the ultimate brainteasing word game is played by the young and the old in 121 countries in 29 different languages.
