Jammu, Nov 10 (UNI) National Conference (NC) patron Farooq Abdullah today said his party may support the rival Peoples Democratic Party's self-rule proposal, if it has some potential to solve the Kashmir conundrum.

Talking to mediapersons at Kishtwar in Doda district, Farooq described PDP's self-rule proposal as a 'farce' and challenged Mufti Mohammed Sayeed to bring to the fore his agenda. 'It is nothing more than a political stunt to hoodwink the common masses.

The former Chief Minister said Mufti is blowing the trumpet of self-rule just to befool the people. ''If Mufti thinks his self-rule proposal has some substance and if it impresses us and others then we, too, would support it,'' he added.

Dr Abdullah said Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad and his governement were talking about bringing displaced Kashmiri Pandits back to the valley, but in the prevailing situation in the valley, it would be very pre-mature on the part of this government.

He warned the government not to take any premature decision in the present situation. More attacks and massacres may happen if Pandits were taken back under the prevailing circumstances, he added.
