JIPMER JAC holds demo

Puducherry, Nov 10 (UNI) The JIPMER anti-conversion peoples joint action committee today held a demonstration in front of the main gate of the hospital to press their demand.

They were demanding immediate reinstatement of five employees who were terminated by the administration during the 22 day old strike by the employees to protest the centre's move to grant autonomous status to the institute.

President of the committee and former CPM state secretary T Murugan, who is leading the agitation charged that the JIPMER administration had failed to reinstate the employees even after an intrim order in this regard by Madras Hhigh Court.
