Input subsidy enhance from Rs 500 to Rs 750

Rajahmundry, Nov 10 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Agriculture Minister N Raghuveera Reddy today said the input subsidy has been enhanced from Rs 500 to Rs 750 per acre, for the benefit of those farmers who lost their crop due to heavy rains.

Addressing newspersons Mr Reddy said in the current year there were three spells of rains which damaged crops both in Krishna, Godavari basin and production also came down. Chief Minister Dr Reddy was also asked to take relief measures, he added.

Apart from enhancing input subsidy, fifty per cent seed subsidy also would be given and the choice of the seed would be left to the farmers, he said.
