Gold and Silver zoom to nine-week high

Mumbai, Nov 10 (UNI) Both Silver and Gold zoomed to a nine-week high on the Bombay Bullion Exchange with Silver shooting up by Rs 506 per kg and Gold by Rs 230 per ten gm on sustained fresh demand and bullish global advices.

Spot silver .999 fineness variety opened at Rs 19,400 per kg on good demand. Later, it went up further and closed at Rs 19,406 per kg with a massive gain of Rs 506 from yesterday's close.

In London, the white metal was quoted high at USD 13.00/13.05 per troy ounce against USD 12.55/12.60 per troy ounce in New York.

Standard Gold (99.5) and pure Gold (99.9) opened high at Rs 9,145 and Rs 9,198 per ten grams respectively.

However, the yellow metal rose further and closed at Rs 9,191 and Rs 9,242 per ten gm with a huge gain of Rs 227 for standard Gold and Rs 230 for pure Gold from its last close.

In London, the yellow metal also went up at USD 630/632 per troy ounce as compared to USD 615/620 per troy ounce at New York yesterday.

Following are the spot silver and gold closing prices: Silver (per kg) .999 grade : Rs 19,406 (18,900) Gold (per 10 gm): Standard mint 99.5 purity : Rs 9,191 (8,964) Pure gold 99.9 purity : Rs 9,242 (9,012).
