Florican claims feature

Bangalore, Nov 10 (UNI) Less fancied 'Florican' (K P G Appu astride) claimed Madras Race Club Cup, the main event of the opening day's races of Bangalore winter meeting, here today.

The winner is owned by Ms Kishori Gidwaney and trained by S Narredu.

Champion jockey B Prakash started with bright note riding a hattrick of wins, while Appu scored brace.

Six favourites obliged in a card of eight events.
