Additional forces deployed in Visakhapatnam airport

Visakhapatnam, Nov 10 (UNI) City Police Commissioner V S K Kaumudi today said security has been stepped up at the airport here following intelligence reports that Al Qaeda was planning to blow up some airports in the country.

Talking to reporters, he said additional forces were deployed in the airport to give support to the CISF personnel in view of the threat.

A checkpost had been set up for checking vehicles and visitors entering the airport, he added.
