A prisoner escapes from court premises
Barrackpore, Nov 10 (UNI) A prisoner today escaped from a local court premises in North 24 Parganas here this afternoon.
Court sources said two such prisoners, jailed in connection with a murder case, were produced before the Additional District and Sessions judge of a first court.
One prisoner fled away and police has raised an alarm.
He had escaped from the hands of a couple of unarmed police escorts on their way to the court lock up.
Some people caught hold of Manoj Shaw, another prisoner, following an alarm and handed him over to the police.
Incidentally Shaw sustained injuries as he fell from the wall of the court premises.
Police have started investigation into the incident.
