State police destroys ganja plantation
Agartala, Nov 09: Tripura police has launched a vigorous drive against the growing ganja plantation in different parts of the state and destroyed huge number of such plants.
According to police sources today that the Enforcement Branch of the state police in its anti-ganja plant drive has destroyed nearly 46,000 ganja plants mainly in Tripura's west district during past fortnight.
The enforcement wing destroyed the contraband trees under Bishalgarh and Melaghar police stations respectively bordering Bangladesh, sources said adding that ths kind of drive aganst the cultivation of ganja will contrinue throughout the state.
