Silk smuggler sentenced in Bihar
Patna, Nov 9 (UNI) A special court today awarded three-years eleven years ago rigorous imprisonment to a person for smuggling foreign silk yarn.
Special judge for Economic offences of Patna Shahid Khan found Goralal Mandal guilty of smuggling without customs paid foreign silk yarn.
According to the charges, the convict was arrested by Customs officers on April 7,1995, when he was carrying foreign silk yarn worth Rs 4.5 lakh in a truck without paying customs duty near Sabour village in Bhagalpur district.
