Robbing Rs 900 cost three robbers life; killed in encounter

Lucknow, Nov 9 (UNI) Three armed miscreants, allegedly on the run after robbing a man of Rs 900, were gunned down by the police in an encounter under Hardawa area of Aligarh district in Uttar Pradesh.

According to police, Rajbir Singh of Atrauli was robbed yesterday by the trio, who later escaped.

Rajbir immediately informed the police, who tracked the criminals and persued them.

In the ensuing encounter, the three miscreants -- identified as Amit and Bhupendra of Moradabad and Chandra of Bulandshahr districts -- were killed.

Three pistols, a motorcycle and the looted cash were recovered from the spot, police added.

While, Amit and Bhupendra had seven criminal cases each registered against them, Chandra had one.

A case had been registered in this regard.
