Oppn stages walkout in MP Assy
Bhopal, Nov 9 (UNI) The opposition today staged a walkout in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly on the final day of the winter session alleging that crucial subjects were not discussed during the session.
After the lunch recess, Leader of the Opposition Jamuna Devi said, ''several adjournment proposals were submitted on people's problems and regarding law and order but they could not be discussed. Similarly, no discussion took place on issues relating to atrocities against women, Scheduled Castes, tribes and other sections of society.'' Members of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), Janata Dal (United), Samajwadi Party and others also joined the main opposition Congress in the walkout.
Mr Sajjan Singh Verma (Cong) staged a walkout alone alleging that the power issue was not discussed.
