Nikkei opens flat after Wall St gain, TDK rises

Tokyo, Nov 9: Japan's Nikkei share average opened flat on Thursday, supported by gains in TDK Corp and some other tech stocks following a rise on Wall Street and robust earnings from Cisco Systems Inc.

As of 0002 GMT, the Nikkei was up 1.54 points at 16,217.28 following a 1.08 percent fall the previous session to a one-month low. The broader TOPIX index fell 0.03 percent to 1,596.96.
