NIIT introduces networking prog 'NIIT NetworkLABS'

New Delhi, Nov 9 (UNI) NIIT Ltd today launched a training programme -- NIIT NetworkLABS -- to cater to learners in Networking and Infrastructure Management Technologies.

''This programme will provide students real time unique experience of Infrastructure Management Business Desktop Deployment, WAN, OS Deployment,'' NIIT Individual Learning Business President G Raghavan said here.

He said the industry, facing crisis of skilled professionals, will need 3,75,000 skilled professionals just in this space, creating a shortfall of nearly 1 lakh skilled professionals by 2009.

Students will have the option to specialise in select infrastructure management areas, as part of the programme and get trained in VLAB infrastructure in advanced modules of the programme, he said, adding that the programme also leads to specialisations in diverse fields of networking and information security.

The curriculum is designed in partnership with global technology leaders such as 3Com, CompTIA, Intel and Microsoft.

The programme will provide the learners the option of pursuing globally mapped certification programmes such as A+, Network+, MCDST, MCSE, CCNA.
