New law to regulate foreign contribution into India
New Delhi, Nov 9 (UNI) The Union Cabinet today approved a draft Bill to enact a law for more efficient regulation of foreign contribution coming into the country.
The Foreign Contribution Regulation Act, 1986 will be repealed, and a new law enacted, Finance Minister P Chidambaram told reporters after the Cabinet meeting.
The decision has been taken following the demands by the civil society and the NGOs to review the outdated Act, Mr Chidambaram added.
