IT cos to enhance internal communication

Kolkata, Nov 09 (UNI) The IT and ITES companies in West Bengal have decided to enhance and develop the already existing internal communication process to tune itself with changing employee needs on reports of formation of an association or union in the sector.

This was decided at a meeting of representatives of 80 IT and ITES industries on November 7 under the aegis of Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI).

The companies also said that they could take care of their employees much better and each company was capable of handling their own affairs, BCCI president Aloke Mookherjea said.

None of the companies seemed concerned or worried about formation of unions in the sector as long as all the activities are carried out within the ambit of law and without any coercion, he said.

They noted that any disruptive activity would affect the image in the minds of international investors and clients.

BCCI in turn has agreed to help these companies, whenever required, in carrying out employee satisfaction surveys.
