Haryana contributes 2.06 lakh MT rice in central pool
Chandigarh, Nov 9 (UNI) Haryana government has delivered 2.06 lakh metric tonnes rice to the central pool so far as against 1.22 lakh metric tonnes during the corresponding period last year.
Stating this here today, Deputy Chief Minister Chander Mohan said that six government procuring agencies had delivered 1,17,948 metric tonnes of rice, while the remaining 88,023 metric tonnes was delivered by the millers to the central pool.
HAFED has delivered 45,738 metric tonnes of rice, Food and Supply delivered 41,810 metric tonnes, Haryana Agro Industries Corporation 12,840 metric tonnes, Haryana Warehousing Corporation 3,699 metric tonnes and Confed delivered 8,411 metric tonnes of rice.
He said that Kaithal district had delivered 49,643 metric tonnes of rice, Karnal 48,905 metric tonnes, Kurukshetra 41,295 metric tonnes, Ambala 21,842 metric tonnes, Fatehabad 14,839 metric tonnes, Yamunanagar 12869 metric tonnes, Sirsa 6920 metric tonnes, Faridabad 38,40 metric tonnes, Panchkula 26,40 metric tonnes, Jind 1,980 metric tonnes and Sonepat 11982 metric tonnes of rice.
