CPM stage demo denouncing death sentence to Saddam

Puducherry, Nov 9 (UNI) Volunteers of the CPI-M staged a noisy demonstration near the Kamaraj statue here today, demanding the withdrawal of death sentence awarded to former Iraqi president Saddam Hussein.

The demonstration was held to press the Union Government to oppose the evil designs of the United States and for the withdrawal of American and British troops from Iraq, party secretary V Perumal said.
