Councillors criticise AIADMK

Puducherry,Nov 9(UNI)The third meeting of the Puducherry municipality held under chairperson Dr.Sreedevi today condemned AIADMK state sectretary A.Anbazhagan for his alleged remarks against the councillors two days back.

As soon as the meeting began Mr.Daniel,PMC councillor brought o the notice of the Chair Mr Anbazhagan's remark against the councillors stating that them abused the legislators during the fast organised by PMK Lok Sabha member Prof.Ramadass.

The councillors barring four of AIADMK, staged a walk out and on resumption Dr Sreedevi permitted the resolution.

AIADMK councillor Mr.Bhaskaran then chrarged that the councillors were functioning on political lines and pointed out that PMC legislator N.Anand had made some objectionable remarks against women and a resolution condemning Anand be also adopted which was supported by the women councillors also.The chairperson then agreed that both the resolutions be introduced and whichever having majority be adopted.

The resolution condemning Mr.Anbazhagan was adopted with the support of all councillors except the four AIADMK and the one against Anand with the support of all barring the PMC councillors.As many as 32 resolutions were adopted in the meeting.
