CONCOR, Seaways sign pact

Hyderabad, Nov 9 (UNI) The Container Corporation of India (CONCOR), a Government of India undertaking and Seaways Group, a leading Shipping company with strong domestic network, have entered into a joint working agreement to provide end-to-end logistic support for shippers engaged in exports from Punjab to Chittagong in Bangladesh.

In a statement here today, Seaways Group Director P Vivek Anand said the exporters from Northern region particularly form Punjab would benefit through this joint agreement.

While Concor would provide its experience and facilities to shippers by handling cargo at Phillaur and Majarhat ICDs and transporting them to Kolkata Port, Seaways would carry the containers from Kolkata port to Chittagong on vessels, he said.
