Bye-election of Roing Assembly constituency on December 4

Itanagar, Nov 09 (UNI) The Election Commission of India will hold the bye-election for 43-Roing Assembly seat, in Lower Dibang Valley district of Arunachal Pradesh on December 4 next.

The formal notification in this regard will be issued tomorrow, according to a release of the office of state chief electoral officer.

The last date for filing nominations is fixed on November 17 while scrutiny of nominations has been fixed on next day and the last date for withdrawal of candidature is on November 20.

The counting of votes scheduled to be held on December 7, the release said.

The Roing Assembly seat was laying vacant due to the resignation of Mukut Mithi, former chief minister and legislator on his appointment as Lt Governor of Pondichery.
