BSP leader shot dead

Lucknow, Nov 9 (UNI) A BSP leader was shot dead today over a property dispute under Chandpur area of Bijnore district in Uttar Pradesh.

Police here said BSP leader Balvir Singh of Shekhpur village had a dispute with some people over a ration shop, following which he was shot.

Later, police arrested one Sevaram in this regard and search was on to nab the other culprits.

Meanwhile, police had been deployed in the area in wake of the tension.

The situation was said to be tense but under control.
