BJP old guard J P Mathur turns 86

New Delhi, Nov 9 (UNI) Senior BJP leader Jagdish Prasad Mathur turned 86 today..

A low profile RSS Pracharak lent to the BJP for organisational work, Mr Mathur preferred to remain in the background although he was a senior contemporary of leaders like Atal Bihari Vajpayee and L K Advani. RSS Chief K S Sudarshan was among those who attended the havans and special poojas conducted at 11, Ashoka Road, where Mr Mathur resides to commemorate the occasion.

Mr Advani and BJP President Rajnath Singh had sent a bouquet of flowers to Mr Mathur as they were away from the national capital.
