Babulal wants fresh assembly polls in Jharkhand
Ranchi, Nov 9 (UNI) Soon after retaining Koderma Lok Sabha seat by huge margin over his rivals, BJP and Congress, former Jharkhand Chief Minister Babulal Marandi today demanded fresh polls to the state assembly.
'' Now the UPA and NDA should seek fresh mandate from the people,'' he said.
He told UNI that the people had rejected both NDA and UPA in the by-election and they had only one option left a fresh assembly election in the state.
Meanwhile, suspended BJP MLA and Marandi supporter Ravindra Rai said Koderma bypoll had given a new direction to the state politics.
Mr Rai said coalition government could not bring development in state,'' he claimed and also called for fresh assembly polls.
He said by-election result made it clear that people have lost confidence in present UPA government.
