UDF demands judicial inquiry into PM security lapse

Thiruvananthapuram, Nov 8 (UNI) The Opposition Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) in Kerala today demanded a judicial inquiry into the security lapse during Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's visit to the state.

There were contradictions in the reports of Additional Director General of Police and the Chief Secretary, who conducted separate inquiries into the security lapse, UDF convenor P P Thankachan told reporters here.

The contradictory reports of the two officials only raised doubts, he said.

Mr Thankachan said the UDF was demanding a judicial inquiry as the reports created confusion.
