Two CMHOs suspended

Bhopal, Nov 8: The Chief Medical and Health Officers of Morena and Gwalior were suspended with immediate effect for not relieving doctors, who were transferred.

The administration had transferred health officials Dr S N Bindal and Dr Ved Prakash Mathur posted at community healthcare centres in Kailaras and Dabra respectively to Sheopur in July, an official release here said today.

The order was re-issued in September 4 directing to compulsorily relieve the two doctors on September 5. However, Morena CMHO H S Sharma and Gwalior CMHS Archana Shingwekar did not comply with the orders.

Observing the non-compliance as against the Madhya Pradesh Civil Service (Conduct) rules, the CMHOs were suspended. During the suspension period, the CMHOs' headquarters will be Gwalior Divisional Joint Directorate (Health).
