Three militants killed in Doda, encounter still on

Jammu, Nov 8 (UNI) security forces today gunned down three ultras two from Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) and a Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) militant in two separate encounters in Doda district, official sources said here.

Sources said acting on a tip-off, security forces started a search operation at Tanta, Draman in Thatri tehsil and two LeT men Ashiq Hussain alias Abu Bakar and Safullah were killed.

The encounter between army and Jammu Kashmir police with militants was still on, when reports last came in, sources added.

One AK 47 and on SLR was recovered from the possession of slain militants.

HM section commander Gul Nawaz was eliminated by security forces in an encounter at village Chirala in Bhaderwah.
