Speaker is not amused; MLA expresses regret
Bhopal, Nov 8 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Assembly Speaker Ishwardas Rohani today directed Communist Party of India (Marxist) MLA Ramlakhan Sharma to express regret for a remark made in the House.
While a discussion was underway on excessive or scanty rainfall in different parts of the state, Mr Indrajit Kumar (Congress) briefly officiated as the Speaker.
Later, while Mr Kumar was speaking on the subject as a member, Mr Sharma quipped, ''Mr Kumar, who fulfilled the responsibility of Speaker, should be given more time to speak, as remuneration.''
