Select metal prices rise on improved industrial demand
Mumbai, Nov 8 (UNI) Select metal prices rose on improved industrial demand, traders at the Bombay Metal Exchange said today.
In ferrous section, copper heavy hiked by Rs 100 per quintal on lesser stock supply while aluminium utensils fell by Rs 100 per quintal on thin buying support.
In non-ferrous section, zinc slab and lead ingots went up by Rs 100 each per quintal on increase of fresh demand.
Nickel cathode declined by Rs ten per kg on increased offers by stockists.
Following were the spot metal prices per quintal: Ferrous metals: Copper heavy - Rs 36,300, copper utensils - Rs 32,500, brass utensils - Rs 23,500, brass cuttings - Rs 27,000 and aluminium utensils - Rs 11,500.
Non-ferrous metals: Copper wire bars - Rs 40,500, aluminium ingots - Rs 14,000, zinc slab - Rs 24,200, lead ingots - Rs 8,100, tin slab - Rs 575 (per kg) and nickel cathode - Rs 1,890 (per kg).
