Rupee opens firm at 44.66/68 per USD

Mumbai, Nov 8: The rupee today opened firm by six paise and was quoted at Rs 44.66/68 per US dollar as compared to it's previous close of Rs 44.72 per USD, a money market trader said.

Later, the domestic currency rose to Rs 44.6450 per USD, and is now trading high at Rs 44.6550/6650 per USD due to a strong yen and some selling pressure in dollars by banks, forex dealers said here.
