Relief measures moving slowly in AP: CPI(M)
Machilipatnam, Andhra Pradesh Nov 8 (UNI) Communist Party of India(Marxist) State Unit Secretary B V Raghavulu today alleged that the implementation of relief measures to cyclone affected people were moving at a snail pace.
Talking to newspersons here, he said the State Government was neglecting the cyclone victims. The Government had announced a compensation of Rs 750 per acre to the crop loss for farmers, but it was inadequate, he added.
Mr Raghavulu alleged that the visit of Union Home Minister Shivraj Patel and the State Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy's visit yesterday to the affected areas had not benefited the people CPI(M) would take a decision soon on extendng the party's support to the Congress party in the December four by-election to two Lok Sabha seats in the State, he added.
