Reliance to set up school for geophysical exploration: Mukesh

Hyderabad, Nov 8 (UNI) The Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) today announced that the gas produced from the Krishna-Godavari Basin would be supplied first to Andhra Pradesh and that it would set up a School for Geophysical Exploration here.

Announcing this to the media here, RIL Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani said, ''our vision is to provide the gas (rom K-G Basion) first to local people. The common man in Andhra Pradesh should benefit from the gas, which can be supplied through a grid network.'' He said the school for exploration would be set up jointly with the public sector oil major Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd (ONGC).

He said the school would help to ''transform'' the Krishna-Godavari Basin and fully explore its ''truly high potential''.

He said RIL had made huge investments in K-G Basin to explore oil and natural gas.

ONGC CMD R S Sharma was also present there.
