PWD Mazdoors stage demonstration, locks Society office

Puducherry, Nov 8 (UNI) The PWD Mazdoor workers today held a demonstration infront of the PWD Cooperative Society office here and later locked the office to protest against the society's failure in providing gift coupons and interest during Deepavali .

The agitators said they had deposited money in the society and the society provided interest for the deposits.

It also gave gift coupons during Deepavali.

However, this year, the society failed to give anything, they added.

Later, police intervened and pacified the agitators.
