Nirankari Baba to open 59th Nirankari Samagam on Nov 11

New Delhi, Nov 8 (UNI) Hectic preparations are on for the three-day 59th annual Nirankari Sant Samagam, which will be inaugurated by Nirankari Baba Hardev Singh, along with his mother Rajmata Kulwant Kaur and his spouse Sawinder, on November 11.

The Samagam, which would be attended by lakhs of devotees from within and outside the country, will spread the message of love, peace and universal brotherhood.

A Sevadal (volunteers) rally will be held on the second day in the morning in which about 40,000 to 50,000 volunteers coming from different states of the country and abroad will present a cultural programme showcasing the messages and teachings of the Nirankari Mission, Mr K R Chadha, Convenor of Samagam Committee, said while addressing a press conference here.

On the concluding day of the Samagam, a multi-lingual symposium would be held on the theme of "Neither conflict nor animosity, what we need today is love only'' which would see the active participation of about 70 to 80 paticipants.

Another interesting aspect of the Samagam is Nirankari exhibition which depicts history of the mission and its social welfare activities.

Mr Chadha said all kinds of facilities have been provided for the devotees coming from India and abroad. Separate residential tents have been erected for their accommodation and facilities of toilets and bathroom provided within the tents. Besides, 70-80 mobile toilets have also been stationed in the premises, which is spread across 430 acres of land.

Besides the facility of free langar (community kitchens), 17 canteens have been set up in the area where tea, coffee, cold drinks and snacks will be provided on subsidised rates. He said the health front too had been taken care of with the setting up of about 8 dispensaries in each ground along with 2 ambulances and several first-aid counters.

He also took visiting journalists around the premises, showing them various facilities provided by the Sant Nirankari Mandal for the devotees.
