MP govt moves to withdraw case against MLA's son

Shahdol, MP, Nov 8 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh government has initiated a process for withdrawing, in ''public interest,'' a case of attempt to murder -- sub judice in a district and sessions court -- against Sohagpur MLA Chhotelal Saraogi's son Rajkumar alias Raja, official sources said.

The Law and Legislative Affairs Department has written to the District Magistrate, Shahdol.

''The Public Prosecutor may be told to exercise his discretion and take necessary action for withdrawing the case with the permission of the court,'' the missive said.

Five months back, Rajkumar allegedly attempted to crush former collector Raghavendra Singh under a car at Budhar.
