Man wielding knife flutter outside Jaya's house

Chennai, Nov 8 (UNI) An unidentified man armed with a knife created a flutter at the house of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa here today.

The man, wielding the big knife, stood at the gate of her Poes Gardens residence and shouted slogans against the AIADMK chief.

A plain-clothes policeman stationed there and the gatekeeper telephoned the police, but on seeing them arrive, he sped away by car.

Ms Jayalalitha was away at her Siridavur home on the outskirts of the city at the time.

Police were investigating.
