Indian Embassy sets up counselling cells in UAE
Dubai, Nov 8: Alarmed by the increase in suicide cases among Indian expatriates in the UAE, the Indian Embassy has set up counselling cells that are working round the clock.
Indian Ambassador to the UAE CM Bhandari said the embassy is working closely with various community associations in running the Indian Communities Welfare Committee (ICWC).
The ICWC, which has members nominated by various Indian associations, are helping people to find out solutions to their problems.
There are about 15 volunteer doctors who go to labourers' camps as labourers suffer from hypertension and diabetes without being aware of the ailments, Mr Bhandari told Khaleej Times.
