Gover to help in water transportation
Bhopal, Nov 8(UNI) The Madhya Pradesh government will provide financial assistance to local bodies for transportation of drinking water in view of scarce rains in few districts, Urban Development Minister Jayant Malaiyya told the Assembly today.
Mr Malaiyya gave this assurance to Mr Brijendra Singh Rathore (Cong), who moved a call attention notice on the drinking water problem in Niwari area in Tikamgarh district.
The Minister said water table in Tikamgarh district had gone down due to scarce rains, Grant on the basis of population will be given to all local bodies, he said.
Mr Malaiyya suggested Mr Rathore to get a detailed action plan prepared to seek assistance from the Centre for all urban bodies.
