Gemini tea strenghtens its presence in AP

Hyderabad, Nov 8: Tata Tea, the single largest tea brand in the country and the world's second largest global branded tea operation, today introduced 55 gms, value pack of brand "Gemini" priced at Rs 10 to Andhra Pradesh.

'Gemini' is Andhra Pradesh's No 1 tea brand in terms of value and volumes, according to Tata Tea release. It has over 30 per cent market share in Andhra Pradesh.

Mr Pankaj Dant, General Manager-Marketing, Tata Tea Limited said, '' Tata Tea's strength was in the geographical spread and the brand loyalty. The roadmap for the future clearly is to leverage these strengths to further expand the market and Gemini's share in that market.

Introduction of 55 gm value packs was to reward the loyalty of the brand's regular consumers. Research has shown that such offers were the key motivators to attract new consumers into the brand's fold and ones that serve as a reward for loyalty for existing users who have stayed with the brand. Such offers also help in bringing about some excitement and buzz around the brand at both the trade and consumer levels, he said The brand has a high component of Assam tea, which lends it unique strength, taste and colour, 'Gemini' is the market leader in it price segment and has been successful in positioning itself as a strong tea for strong family relations, it added.
