GCA condoles Umrigar's death

Ahmedabad, Nov 8 (UNI) The Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA) today condoled the death of former India captain Polly Umrigar who passed away at his Sportsfield residence in Mumbai yesterday.

GCA President and BCCI Vice-President Narhari Amin said the Gujarat cricket fans mourn the death of Mr Umrigar, who had deep rooted attachment with Cricket for a span of over half-century.

Mr Amin said Indian cricket fans can never forget the services and contributions of Mr Umrigar.

He did not just serve the game as a cricketer, but also contributed his energy as Indian team manager, executive secretary, BCCI and Mumbai Cricket Association Mr Amin recalled.
