Flood-hit AP to get more rains
Hyderabad, Nov 8 (UNI) Even as Coastal Andhra Pradesh is struggling to cope with the devastation caused by the cyclonic storm 'Ogni', more rains are forecast in the region for the next two to three days.
'Under the influence of an easterly wave, fairly widespread rain with isolated heavy falls were likely over entire coastal Andhra Pradesh during the next two to three days, the meteocological department said.
'Isolated heavy rainfall is likely over the coastal region in the next 48 hours, it added.
Rapur recorded 5 cm, followed by Allagadda, Cumbum 4 each, Nalgonda, Nellore, Avanigadda, Koderu, Rajahmundry, Yerragondapalem 3 each, Tuni, Amalapuram, Atmakur, Komarada, Podili and Sattenapalli 2 each.
Minimum temperatures fell at a few places over the State. They were significantly above normal at a few places over Telangana, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and normal over Rayalaseema in the last 24 hours. The lowest minimum temperature of 17 degrees C was recorded at Arogyavaram.
