Cong to boycott cultural programme in Assembly
Bhopal, Nov 8 (UNI) The opposition Congress today announced that it was boycotting the cultural programme being organised at the Madhya Pradesh Assembly premises this evening in view of the ''murder'' of BJP MLA Kishorilal Verma last week.
Immediately after Speaker Ishwardas Rohani announced that PWD Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya will also render devotional songs at the cultural programme, leader of the opposition Jamuna Devi took exception to organising such programme after the murder of the legislator and said the Congress was boycotting it.
Cooperative Minister Gopal Bhargava objected to Ms Devi's announcement in the Assembly, while the opposition members took exception to the minister's remark.
