67 first grade colleges to be started in K'taka
Bangalore, Nov 8 (UNI) Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy today said his Government has decided to start 67 first grade colleges from the next academic year.
Talking to reporters here, he said it had also decided to begin MBA, BT and Computer Science courses from next year and instructed the officials to prepare a report within a month for starting the courses.
The Chief Minister said the Government had begun filling up vacant posts in Public Works and Energy departments. The appointment of engineers and other technical staff in these departments were last made in 1985.
He said the Government would release Rs 750 crore for providing electricity round-the-clock to rural areas.
