126 preventive arrests, Praveen Khandelwal among 52 given bail
New Delhi, Nov 8 (UNI) A city court today granted bail to Confederation of All India Traders General Secretary Praveen Khandelwal and three of his supporters along with 48 others who were arrested this morning as the Municipal Corporation of Delhi, (MCD) resumed its sealing drive against unauthorised shops in the capital.
Special Executive Magistrate T R Mudgil granted bail to Khandelwal, Satish garg, Murli and Deepak on personal surties of Rs 10,000 each.
They had been charged under section 107 (disturbing public peace and tranquility) and 151 (preventive arrest) Indian Penal Code.
As many as 126 people had been arrested near Ashram Chowk in South Delhi this morning when they were protesting against the resumption of the sealing drive. 74 of them were yet to be granted bail.
