Basti, Nov 7 (UNI) The Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) today slammed the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government at the Centre for being anti-Muslim.

RLD is the major ally of the Samajwadi Party led Uttar Pradesh government.

Addressing a gathering here, RLD President and former Union Minister Ajit Singh said Prime Minister Manmohan Singh provided financial assistance to the Sikh victims of the 1984 riots but failed to even think about the minorities who suffered in the Gujrat and Bhagalpur riots.

Expressing concern over the 'dismal' law and order situation in UP, Mr Singh stated that people lacked basic amenities including water and electricity.

RLD supremo said, ''Without carving out a 'Harit Pradesh', UP can never be developed into an 'Uttam Pradesh'.'' UNI XC-ATI SI DB2009
